The STV North TV region will switchover to digital TV in 2010, at which point the whole region will get Freeview. Digital UK will be writing to everyone in your region before the signal switches to digital to keep you posted on what's happening.
Here's the timetable they've given us of when your the switchover process will take place at your local TV transmitter.
Serving the Shetland Islands

Serving the Orkney Islands
The switchover process is now complete.
Rumster Forest Transmitter
Serving Caithness and North Sunderland
The switchover process is now complete.
Serving Wester Ross, Skye and the Outer Hebrides
The switchover process is now complete.
Serving SKye, Harris, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist and parts of Barra
The switchover process is now complete.
Serving Angus, Dundee, Perth and parts of Fife
The switchover process is now complete.
Durris Transmitter
Serving Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
The switchover process has completed.
Knockmore Transmitter
Serving Morayshire, Strathspey and parts of Easter Ross
The switchover process has completed.
Serving Inverness and the Great Glen
The switchover process has completed.
