The week ahead on Freeview...
Saturday
Let’s Dance for Sport Relief is back for a brand new series with a host of new celebrities on Saturday night from 7pm on BBC One and BBC One HD. Amy Childs, the Essex girls who did good, and her cousin Harry Derbridge are just two names that will be getting sweaty for charity. The five-part series is hosted by Steve Jones and Alex Jones.
Over on BBC4 at 8pm, Sinatra Sings features a collection of performances by the iconic singer from various TV specials. Performances include That’s Life and Fly Me to the Moon plus interviews with Frank’s daughter Tina.
Take Me Out is back from 8.20pm on ITV1 and ITV1 HD following the scandal of a recent not-so-single contestant. This week’s episode sees more single men all looking for love and the opportunity to whisk a girl off her feet and take her to the isle of Fernando’s.
Tune in to The Jonathan Ross Show from 9.20pm on ITV1 and ITV1 HD to see celebrities on the couch including John Hurt, Christina Ricci and the hilarious but rather rude Keith Lemon. LMFAO provides the musical entertainment.
Sunday
Fiona Bruce presents a new series of Antiques Roadshow from 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD. The first episode kicks off in Devon where antiques that are valued including a haunted painting.
Upstairs Downstairs is back on BBC One and BBC One HD for a new series from 9.30pm. The period drama, set in 1938, stars Keely Hawes and Ed Stoppard.
Gripping US drama Homeland hits Channel 4 and Channel 4 HD at 9.30pm with its pilot episode. The series is a spy thriller based around a CIA agent played by Claire Danes.
Monday
BBC2 and BBC HD will be showing a six-part series all about the London Underground in The Tube from 9pm. The series will look at how the network copes at the weekends and will give a behind the scenes look at what exactly goes on during ‘engineering works’.
Over on Channel 4 and Channel 4 HD, True Stories will be shedding some light on student Ruth Jeffery’s modern day nightmare. Stalked online for almost three years, Ruth’s stalker turned out to be her own boyfriend. My Social Network Stalker starts at 10pm.
There’s a brand new sketch show at 10pm on BBC2 and BBC HD called Watson & Oliver. Written by Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver, the comedy duo play various characters including Playboy bunnies and the Royal couple, Will & Kate.
Tuesday
This year’s Brit Awards, hosted by the James Corden – who’s a bit like Marmite – is filmed live from the O2 on ITV1 and ITV1 HD. The show kicks off at 8pm with performances from Blur, Coldplay and Rihanna and is followed by The Brits Backstage at 10pm on ITV2. For all the red carpet gossip, hosted by the lovely Laura Whitmore, tune in to ITV2 at 7pm.
All at Sea is a new four-part documentary about actor Timothy Spall and his wife as they set off on a mission to sail around Britain in a little boat. The first episode, at 8.30pm, sees the pair run in to trouble as they cross the North Sea.
More4 will be showing One Born Every Minute USA at 10pm. It’s the same format as the brilliant UK version of the show - just everyone will have American accents.
Wednesday
Catch the new series of Waterloo Road from 8pm on BBC One and BBC One HD starring George Sampson. There’s a new pupil in town and the school is rocked by the arrival of a new gang.
Channel 5 will be starting a new series called Big Body Squad at 8pm, a documentary that features the response teams who look after obese patients when an emergency happens. The first episode starts with Keith, a 53 stone man who needs eight people just to get him out of bed.
Thursday
ITV1 and ITV1 HD will be showing a new series of Kidnap and Ransom at 9pm. The three-part drama stars Trevor Eve and Helen Baxendale.
At 9pm on BBC3, there’s a new comedy series called Pramface starring Sean Michael Verey. The first episodes begins with the story of two teenagers who end up in trouble after a night of drunken antics.
White Van Man also returns to BBC3 for a second series at 9.30pm. Will Mellor stars.
Friday
Benidorm returns to ITV1 and ITV1 HD for a fifth series at 9pm. Starring Jake Canuso and Shelia Reid, the comedy that’s set in the popular holiday resort gets a new manager in the form of Sherrie Hewson.
Channel 5 will be showing a new series of Castle at 10pm, the cop drama that stars Simon Baker. The 24-part series begins with the death of an insurance salesman.
